Welcome parents!
My name is Andrew Long and I am the 3rd-8th grade Social Studies teacher, here, at Faith Islamic Academy. Social Studies is a very diverse subject because we cover elements of geography, government, history, and economics throughout the school year. My classroom is not your traditional classroom as students are challenged to think critically about the content, collaborate with their peers to complete projects, and take responsibility for their learning. I hold my students to high expectations because we are preparing them for high school and beyond. We should always remember that “those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it.”
